Similar to books or photos, videos are also an excellent testimony to everyday life on death row. It doesn’t matter whether they are television interviews with inmates, documentaries, or video recordings from inside death row (the authorities are obliged to document any intervention by their task force, and inmates like to use this to be able to protest with evidence), all of this together paints a complex picture of the system and helps to document fates and stories for us. As you may know, there are many rumors about what happens on death row when the cameras aren’t rolling, and one must fear the worst, but at least sometimes the inmates manage to make themselves heard on camera; I would like to support them in this by publishing those videos …
